Bhagavad Gita in Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 26

In this episode, Swami Mukundananda explains slok number 13 from Bhagavad Gita chapter 12. Here Shree Krishna is telling Arjun about the virtues of His devotees. Shree Krishna says that His devotee does not hold any grudge or ill feeling towards anyone, keeps cordial and merciful feeling towards all, gives away attachment and is without pride.

There are three types of devotees:
1. Those who go to temple and worships the deities but holds ill feeling towards the devotees of God.
2. Those who respect the devotees whom they feel are ahead of themselves; befriends them whom they feel are equal and shows mercy towards those whom they feel are below in devotion. Such devotees remain neutral towards those who are not devotee or against their Guru.
3. Those who sees God in everybody. Such devotees are devoid of discrimination.

Bhagavad Gita in Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 25

In chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, Arjun asked Shree Krishna-which is best path, Bhakti or Gyan? Shree Krishna answered him by declaring Bhakti to be the best and simplest path to attain God. Swami Mukundananda further takes the explanation ahead and says there are two types of actions- mechanical and emotional. A 3-year old child doing pranam to Swamiji when insisted by his parent is the example of the mechanical action. The child doesn't know who is Swamiji, what does doing pranam mean and why he needs to do it. He does it mechanically because his parents have taught him to do so. This is not bad but not enough. It will not free us from the bondage of birth and death. For liberation and attainment of Divine love, we need to rise above the mechanical-physical drill. Thus Shree Krishna says, Gyan is above such physical devotion. Dhyan is above Gyan. Renouncing the fruit of action is above Gyan and Dhyan.

Bhagavad Gita in Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 24

Only God and Guru knows about the destiny of the soul. The astrologers simply make a guess looking at the Panchang. Thus, Ayurveda clearly states two kinds of illness- one that you get through your own bad life-style and other that you inherit from your ancestors. The second kind of ailment is the result of your own deed of previous lives. Swami Mukundananda in this episode of Bhagavad Gita discourse explains the science of Karma with a simple example of a man who, without working, own a lottery and became a millionaire overnight. This happened due to his previous deeds, he was destined to be rich. But, now it is up to him to either double the money with wise investment or to gamble it away. Thus Swamiji further says, "Whatever is written in your destiny, will come to you automatically, you do not need to worry of work for it. "

Bhagavad Gita in Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 23

People say that I will do devotion whenever God wishes me to do so, or when right time comes, or when my fate allows me, etc. All these excuses are very harmful. Fate or destiny of this life is the result of our action of previous lives. So if we keep on blaming fate for not engaging in devotion, then we will never reach the goal of God-realization. We need to start working for it in this life, result of this endeavor will be presented to us in a form of destiny in next birth.

Illusion is created due to darkness. Where there is light there is no illusion. God is like that light and ignorance is like darkness. Where there is God there is no ignorance. Due to ignorance we take ourselves as body, so we run after bodily pleasure. But the fact is, we are not body but soul inside the body. Soul will be happy only when we provide it God's bliss.
