Bhagavad Gita - Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 28

The Bhagavad Gita or the Gita Saar is widely revered as one of the greatest jewels of spiritual wisdom in the history of humankind. It describes the divine dialogue that took place between the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna and his devotee Arjun on the battle ground. Unable to deal with the immediate problem at hand, Arjun approached Shree Krsna for a palliative to overcome the anguish he was experiencing. Shree Krishna did not just advise him on his immediate problem, but digressed to give a profound discourse on the philosophy of life. Hence, the Bhagvad Gita imparts, above everything else, Brahma Vidyā, the science of God-realization.

Bhagavad Gita in Hindi Chapter 12 Part - 17

In the material world one notices external action whereas in the spiritual world internal thoughts are noted. Worldly people will be please if you behave well (from outside). But, doing sadhana externally will not please God. "God do not want our body He wants our mind," says Swami Mukundananda in this lecture.

While discussing the Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12, Swami Mukundananda quotes his spiritual master-Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj and says,

"बंधन अरु मोक्ष का कारण मन ही बखान राधे राधे | याते कौनियो भक्ति करु करु मन ते हरि ध्यान राधे राधे ||

In this series, Swami Mukundananda reveals the original meanings of the Bhagavad Gita Quotes, Shlokas [Chapter 12, Bhakti Yog, The Yog of Devotion] with crystal clear explanations and perfect logic.

Illusion is created due to darkness. Where there is light there is no illusion. God is like that light and ignorance is like darkness. Where there is God there is no ignorance. Due to ignorance we take ourselves as body, so we run after bodily pleasure. But the fact is, we are not body but soul inside the body. Soul will be happy only when we provide it God's bliss.

Stanford University-Science & Spirituality- Part 3

Nobody wants to die.  Why is this urge to live natural to the soul?  The science of spirituality teaches us that God is eternal, He is immortal, without beginning and without end, never was there a time when God didn't exist and never will there be a time when He will cease to exist.  Because, we are tiny parts of the immortal- eternal God, we too have this desire for immortality.  Watch the last part of the lecture "Science and Spirituality" at Stanford University by Swami Mukundananda, for more on the topic.

Stanford University-Science & Spirituality-Part 2

We understand things on the basis of logic, we do not know whether our logic is correct.  But we assume it to be so and we are comfortable with it; it could be wrong.  Our assumption involves leap of faith.  So spirituality says that we are making a different assumptions. What are those assumptions that give us a general understanding of the spiritual realm?  Watch the 2nd part of the lecture "Science and spirituality" at Stanford University by Swami Mukundananda.
